National Virtual Mentoring Program 2026

Following a successful pilot in 2025, this fully virtual program complements NAWIC’s State and Territory based face-to-face mentoring programs and connects members from across Australia.

Participants will be matched with a mentor or mentee aligned to their career goals, experience and aspirations, and will connect via Mentorloop – NAWIC’s online mentoring and community platform.

Participants will also have access to two online workshops than can be attended live or viewed later as a recording:

  • Best Practice Mentor and Mentee Habits Workshop.
  • Goal Setting Workshop.

Mentees need to be NAWIC members to enrol while mentors do not need to be current members to participate.

When does the program run?

Applications open on Wednesday, 21 January 2026. The program begins in March and runs through to November. Limited places available.

Who is the National Virtual Mentoring Program for?

  • Those looking for a 100% virtual mentoring program and who do not have the capacity to attend in-person mentoring events.
  • Those who are located in rural or regional areas.
  • Mentees who are looking for more specific expertise, experience or more senior mentorship that is difficult to find within their State or Territory.
  • Those who would like to have a mentor/mentee located in another State to build their networks and community.

Who is eligible for the National Virtual Mentoring Program and how much does it cost?

Mentees – $100 per person and you must be a NAWIC member.
Mentors – Free and you do not need to be a NAWIC member.
