MATER PRIVATE HOSPITAL - MATERNITY UNIT

Kick off 2026 with an exciting behind-the-scenes look at Townsville’s next anticipated healthcare project! NAWIC NQ’s first event for the year is an exclusive site tour of the new Mater Mother’s Maternity Unit at Mater Private Hospital Townsville, currently under construction by Paynters.

The site walkthrough will be led by Rebecca Johnston from Peddle Thorp, who has been involved in the design and planning of the new Maternity Unit. Rebecca has been working predominately throughout regional Queensland, delivering a range of projects from small scale, complex facilities, to large campus wide re-developments, specialising in health planning and stakeholder engagement.

This event offers a unique opportunity to view the facility prior to practical completion and gain first-hand insights into the design and delivery of a major healthcare project, learning directly from those involved.

Following the site tour, attendees are invited to stay on for food, drinks and networking with fellow NAWIC members and industry professionals.
