Ready to take the next step in your career? NAWIC WA’s Mentoring Program returns with new opportunities, inspiring connections, and supportive pathways designed to help you grow, learn and lead with confidence.
The 2026 program will be supported by a diverse group of industry experts and professional coaches, with webinars/pod meetings and workshops aligned to NAWIC’s Organisational Strategy. Participants will gain insights from specialists in leadership, career development, communication, and industry practice, ensuring a well-rounded and enriching learning experience.
FACILITATORS:
KENDAL DREW
Kendal brings an evidence-based approach to leadership and career development. With over four decades of experience across defence, mining and resources, education, and not-for-profit sectors, Kendal works as a thinking partner to help leaders build clarity, confidence, and authentic presence at work. Her facilitation blends reflective practice, psychometrics, and positive psychology to help participants clearly articulate their value and lead in ways that align with who they are, not who they think they should be.

SHARLIE MORRISON
Sharlie is a multidisciplinary leader with extensive experience driving inclusive cultural change, organisational design, and operational improvement in complex environments. She has led large, diverse workforces through transformation while maintaining safety, performance, and psychological safety. Sharlie's work focuses on practical tools for de-escalation, emotional intelligence, boundary setting, and inclusive leadership, equipping participants to manage difficult conversations and build respectful, high-performing teams in real-world settings.

SUZY ROCHE
With more than 20 years' experience across global organisations and diverse sectors, Suzy Roche specialises in influencing, negotiation, and leadership capability development. She brings a rare blend of lived leadership experience, instructional design, and coaching expertise to her facilitation. Suzy is known for translating complex negotiation frameworks into practical, everyday tools that help leaders advocate effectively, navigate conflict, and achieve ethical, sustainable outcomes, skills critical to progression and impact in today's workplaces.

Over nine transformative months, participants in our program will:
- Engage in personalised one-on-one mentoring sessions with accomplished industry professionals.
- Foster meaningful connections within a supportive community through interactive group sessions.

Best suited to participants with a minimum of three years' experience, this program delivers unique access to industry expertise and guided support from a range of seasoned mentors and coaches.

WHAT'S INVOLVED?
The NAWIC Mentoring program is 9 months in duration. Program participants are provided with an information pack to assist them to meet and develop their individual objectives through working together.
It offers the mentees the opportunity to strive for higher levels of performance and the mentors to nurture this relationship through creative and strategic methods focused on achieving the mentee’s goals.
The program includes:
- Meet and Greet
This networking event marks the start of the program and is the first official meeting between Mentee/Mentor.
- Webinars & Pod Meetings
A series of 60-minute online sessions designed to provide guidance, shared learning, and practical support throughout the mentoring journey.
- Workshops
These workshops will provide the tools necessary to begin and build on the mentoring relationship and will offer an opportunity to network, provide feedback and exchange ideas.
Mentee workshop: 6 hours
Mentor workshop: 2 hours
- Closing Celebration
Formal closure of the mentoring program, reflection on learnings and celebration of accomplishments.
PROGRAM PRE-REQUISITES
Mentors:
Mentors have minimum 5 years industry experience. However, we do accept applications from mentors with less experience subject to relevant industry experience and passion to contribute to the development of women to achieve their highest potential. As a mentor we ask that you openly share your experiences, encourage broader thinking, and assist mentees to discover and find solutions for themselves.
Mentees:
Mentees must be a NAWIC member and have minimum 3 years industry experience. Mentees must have a commitment to personal learning and professional development, willingness to engage with your mentor and positive attitude.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
- Webinars and pod meetings are delivered in 60-minute sessions.
- Mentees participate in a full-day (6-hour) workshop.
- Mentors take part in a 2-hour workshop designed to support the industry and effective mentoring.
