This year, we've joined forces with not one, but four esteemed partners: Mentorloop, PurposeSync, Sue Bush Leadership Coaching, and Veraison! Together, we've curated a dynamic program designed to empower mentees and propel them towards their full potential, preparing them for the next exciting stage of their careers.

Over nine (9) transformative months, our mentees and mentors will:

- Engage in one-on-one sessions with industry experts
- Connect with a supportive community through group sessions
- Receive career guidance customised to their needs.

FACILITATORS

Ilsé Strauss - PurposeSYNC

Ilsé Strauss was introduced to leadership mentoring in the early 2000’s and has been involved in various programs as a facilitator and co-ordinator ever since. Through her management consultancy PurposeSYNC, she provides business and leadership ethics capability development, with a strong focus on workplace coaching and mentoring.  She has designed countless leadership mentoring programs for senior and emergent leaders, spanning from Perth’s Bell Tower to Melbourne’s Yarra River.

She holds a Masters in Leadership (by research) which integrates the disciplines of business and leadership with psychology. Ilsé is an accredited performance and workplace coach, a qualified trainer and assessor and is currently completing her Juris Doctor degree at U.W.A. She believes in community outreach, and she holds the position of volunteer C.O.O at the Student Legal Advice Center where she provides oversight of day-to-day operations, liaising with law firms and stakeholders, and training and developing of volunteer paralegals and future leaders.

Donna Plunket – Veraison

Donna is a passionate advocate for inclusive development, leverages her 20+ years across diverse sectors (tourism, mining, community services, manufacturing) to empower individuals and organisations. 

As a Relationship Manager and Performance Coach at Veraison (NAWIC mentor program partner for 4 years!), she has designed mentoring programs for veterans, women in construction, and Indigenous communities. 

She is an accredited mental health first aider, and holds a B.Com, Grad Dip Community Development, and Diploma of Science (Psychology Major). A lifelong learner, and passionate about the impact of great mentoring programs she recently joined the board of Mentor It Forward (MiF), Donna is a member of Organisation Development Australia, International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Emotional Intelligence Society of Australia (EISA).

Suzanne Bush – Sue Bush Leadership Coaching 

Sue is dedicated to assisting emerging leaders in crafting their leadership profiles through leveraging their unique strengths. Her passion for mentoring is backed by 15 years of leadership and management experience. Sue finds great satisfaction in guiding and empowering others to achieve their goals and gain confidence and clarity in their professional journey.

As a mentor, Sue embodies the values of empathy, integrity, and positive influence as she guides leaders/others towards fulfilling their potential and fostering growth in their professional endeavours.

Sue operates her own Leadership Coaching Business and holds a B.Com (Accounting) degree. Certified as a Level 2 Organisational Leadership Coach via IECL, she is also an accredited mental health first aider.

WHAT'S INVOLVED?

 The NAWIC Mentoring program is 9 months in duration. Program participants are provided with an information pack to assist them to meet and develop their individual objectives through working together.

It offers the mentees the opportunity to strive for higher levels of performance and the mentors to nurture this relationship through creative and strategic methods focused on achieving the mentee’s goals.

The program includes:

  Meet and Greet

This networking event marks the start of the program and is the first official meeting between Mentee/Mentor.

Workshops

These workshops will provide the tools necessary to begin and build on the mentoring relationship and will offer an opportunity to network, provide feedback and exchange ideas.

Closing Celebration

Formal closure of the mentoring program, reflection on learnings and celebration of accomplishments.

PROGRAM PRE-REQUISITES

Mentors:
Mentors have minimum 5 years industry experience. However, we do accept applications from mentors with less experience subject to relevant industry experience and passion to contribute to the development of women to achieve their highest potential. As a mentor we ask that you openly share your experiences, encourage broader thinking, and assist mentees to discover and find solutions for themselves.

Mentees:
Mentees have minimum 3 years industry experience. Mentees must have a commitment to personal learning and professional development, willingness to engage with your mentor and positive attitude.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Mentors and mentees are requested to commit to at least one 1-2 hours per month for the duration of the program.

All applications are assessed individually, and mentors and mentees are paired accordingly based on their skill sets, experiences, strength, and desired objectives. The Mentoring Committee will assess all applications and shortlist successful submissions. Both successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application once the selection process is completed.
