About the Program

The NAWIC VIC Mentoring Program is designed to assist women in the construction industry with their career development and help them reach their goals.

Mentoring provides a platform to enable the sharing of knowledge and experience, and to guide personal and professional development for a successful career in the building and construction industry.

The VIC Mentoring Program is positively aligned with NAWIC’s vision for a world class construction industry that achieves great results through the active involvement and contribution of women. It is our mission and objective to attract and retain women in the industry as well as further encourage leadership within the industry.

WHAT'S INVOLVED?

The NAWIC Mentoring program is 8 months in duration. Program participants are provided with an information pack to assist them to meet and develop their individual objectives through working together.

It offers the mentees the opportunity to strive for higher levels of performance and the mentors to nurture this relationship through creative and strategic methods focused on achieving the mentee’s goals.

The program includes:

  • Meet and Greet

This breakfast networking event marks the start of the program and is the first official meeting between Mentee/ Mentor.

  • Workshops

These workshops will provide the tools necessary to begin and build on the mentoring relationship and will offer an opportunity to network, provide feedback and exchange ideas

  • Group Coaching Pods

The Group Coaching Pods provide mentees with the opportunity to seek guidance from an experienced coach in relation to their development needs and learn how to get the most out of their mentoring relationships.

  • Closing Celebration

Formal closure of the mentoring program, reflection on learnings and celebration of accomplishments.
