NAWIC NSW Built for Growth Scholarship Fund

About the Scholarship Fund

new initiative designed to empower and support women working in trades and site based roles across the construction industry.

Proudly funded by NAWIC NSW, this $10,000 Scholarship Fund will provide the successful applicant(s) with the opportunity to undertake professional or educational development that builds leadership capability and/or accelerates career progression within the construction industry.

The Scholarship Fund aims to recognise one or more women working on construction sites who are committed to advancing their career, building their leadership capability, and creating lasting impact within the industry.

The distribution of the Scholarship Fund for 2026 will be determined by the number of successful applicants as judged by the Selection Panel.


ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must:
Be employed full-time, or be operating their own business, in a trade or site based role within the construction industry.
Have at least two (2) years experience in a trade or site based role.
Hold either:
A Certificate III trade qualification from TAFE or another RTO, or
Evidence of official site-specific licences/tickets relevant to their role
Nominate a specific training or development program that the scholarship funding will be used towards.
Clearly explain how the chosen program will support their career advancement and leadership aspirations.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to discuss their application with a Selection Panel and will be required to provide appropriate supporting documentation demonstrating their ability to meet the above Eligibility Criteria.

VALUE

The Scholarship Fund includes up to $10,000 which may be applied to training, education, or professional development expenses.  Distribution of the funds may be:
Directly to the education/training provider, or 
As reimbursement for approved expenses.

Selection Panel

Applications will be assessed by a Selection Panel consisting of:
Three senior, independent industry representatives as chosen by NAWIC NSW
