NAWIC TAS | ALBERT HALL SITE VISIT

NAWIC and SHAPE Present Albert Hall

Join us for an exciting site walk of the Albert Hall redevelopment in Launceston, led by SHAPE Australia. This iconic project is transitioning from demolition and structural phases to enclosing the new build envelope, transforming the historic landmark into a modern meeting and exhibition space while preserving its rich heritage.

With funding from the Federal and State Governments, including $11 million from the Launceston City Deal and $5 million from the Launceston City Council, the project highlights Albert Hall's importance as a historical and community asset.

Key upgrades include:

  • Ground Floor: New reception area, foyer, café, and function kitchen.
  • First Floor: New foyer and meeting room.
  • Heating, meeting rooms, toilets, lighting, and audio-visual enhancements.
  • Upcoming extension fronting City Park.

Discover how SHAPE, in collaboration with TERROIR and the City of Launceston Council, is blending heritage with modern functionality, ensuring Albert Hall remains a beloved community hub for future generations. Don't miss this opportunity to learn about Launceston's dedication to preserving its landmarks while adapting to contemporary needs.

Please note: Full PPE required (enclosed shoes, hardhat & hi-vis)

Light refreshments following the site walk.

This event is FREE TO ALL!
