NAWIC NSW | JOHN HUNTER HEALTH & INNOVATION PRECINCT SITE TOUR

MULTIPLEX and NAWIC NSW invite you to join them for a tour of the John Hunter Health and Innovation Precinct (JHHIP) project in Newcastle.
 
The John Hunter hospital is one of the busiest Emergency Department, trauma centres and public hospital neurosurgery units within the state.
 
The redevelopment of the John Hunter and John Hunter Children’s Hospital will deliver a significant expansion providing additional capacity and purpose build infrastructure, to enable contemporary models of care. 
 
JHHIP will:
Deliver enhanced and expanded facilities with a new seven story acute services building’
Deliver a new Emergency Department to meet future demands;
Double the capacity of the Intensive Care Units;
Provide 22 operating theatres and 9 intervention suites to respond to significant increased demand;
Deliver 5 procedure rooms for endoscopy and minor procedures;
Provide purpose built flexible education spaces located within clinical services. 
 
This site walk will conduct a presentation and Q&A session, site walk within the Acute Services Building and Prototype Rooms and networking opportunity to conclude.

Please note:

  • For arrival by foot or public transport: Meet at the grassed area out the front of the Royal Newcastle Centre, Kookaburra Cct, New Lambton Heights 2305.
  • For arrival by car: There is no parking on the John Hunter Health & Innovation Precinct, however Multiplex runs a shuttle bus service from McDonald Jones Stadium to the project site every 30 minutes. 
  • Please Meet at North Carpark at McDonald Jones Stadium, 294 Turton Rd, Broadmeadow NSW 2292. Located next to Urth Gym and Go Karts. 
  • A shuttle bus will leave at 3:15pm from the North Carpark to JHHIP Project Site. A shuttle bus will leave after the tour back to McDonald Jones. 
  • Access to the building is restricted. Once the group has arrived, Multiplex personnel will provide access to the prototype room to commence tour. 
  • This project is a live construction site. Please dress in full PPE which includes, hard hats, steel cap boots & hi-vis vest.
