Angela Jeffery is the Project Director for the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project at Transport for NSW. Responsible for the delivery and construction of this ~$11 billion dollar city-shaping infrastructure project, the new metro service will form the transport spine for Greater Western Sydney, connecting travellers with the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport and the growing region. 
 
The Project comprises of a new fully automated (GoA4) metro system connecting Sydney’s Western Airport to the existing heavy train network at St Marys. It includes 23kms of rail, 10kms of underground twin-bore tunnels, 12kms of bridges, viaduct and surface works, 6 new stations along with the new stabling and maintenance facility with the ability to expand in the north, south and east and double in capacity. 
 
Since 2020, Angela has led the project from the planning (procurement and transaction) phase into delivery, including the procurement of Sydney Metro’s largest ever construction package, the largest single Public Private Partnership (PPP) in NSW, and the second largest rail PPP in Australia. There are currently 8000 people employed across the construction works which is expected to increase to 14,000 in the peak. 
 
With a background in construction management, Angela has delivered a range of critical projects for NSW Health Infrastructure, including several hospital redevelopments across Sydney and regional NSW. Angela has also delivered projects in the justice, education and local government sectors.
