NAWIC NSW | Parramatta Metro Station Site Tour
Sydney Metro, the Gamuda and Laing O’Rourke Consortium (GLC) and NAWIC invite you to join them for a site tour of the new Parramatta metro station, part of the Sydney Metro West project.
Strategically located to the north of the existing Parramatta Station, the new metro station will be within the commercial core of the Parramatta CBD, taking pressure off the existing station and giving customers a second rail option.
GLC was awarded the contract for station excavation and tunnelling between Sydney Olympic Park and Westmead. The specialist team at GLC will provide an overview of the site and scope of work, including construction of the diaphragm wall, station box excavation, and heritage and archaeological investigations, followed by a site tour.
Networking will follow.
About the Sydney Metro West:
The NSW Government is delivering Sydney Metro West, a new underground metro railway which will double rail capacity between Parramatta and the Sydney CBD, linking new communities to rail services and support employment growth and housing supply.

Please note:
- All visitors will be required to sign in using attendance sheets/QR code on arrival. This will also serve as a record of attendance.
- All visitors will receive a safety briefing prior to the site tour.
- The site tours will be capped at 15 pax each and escorted by a GLC site representative at all times.
- No photography will be permitted onsite.
- Use of onsite first aid, bathroom facilities and water will be available.
- Full PPE will be required for this event. This includes: Long sleeves and long pants, Hi vis vest, Hard hat, Glasses, Gloves, Safety boots.
- Parking is available at 30 George St, Parramatta (Eat Street carpark) (4-minute walk to Parramatta metro station site). There is no parking available onsite.
