NAWIC NSW | WATERLOO INTEGRATED STATION DEVELOPMENT

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) invite you to join us for a tour around the new Sydney Metro Waterloo Integrated Station Development approximately 25 metres underground in the heart of Waterloo hosted by joint venture partners John Holland and Mirvac.

The new metro station at Waterloo will revitalise the Waterloo precinct and support the extension of the CBD. By 2030, Sydney will have four metro lines, with 46 stations and a 113-kilometre standalone metro railway system. John Holland is delivering the new Waterloo Metro Station and is also in a joint venture with Mirvac to deliver the Waterloo Metro Quarter, which includes four new buildings above the station.

The Waterloo Metro Quarter will have two high-rise and two mid-rise buildings, providing a mix of commercial and residential premises, including affordable and social housing, and student accommodation. There will be new community facilities, retail and office space, landscaping, gardens and a public plaza.

The site tour will commence with a short presentation on the project’s key elements, smart ideas and current construction status and a Q&A panel from women working on the project, followed by a site tour.

Note: Please dress in full PPE which includes full length trousers, long sleeve shirts, hard hats, steel cap boots, hi-vis vest, gloves and safety glasses. Please note no parking available on site. Nearest train station is Redfern, which is an 8 minute walk away.
