LUXURY HOMES with BROOKING DESIGN ARCHITECTS
This is a unique opportunity to walk through three of the most luxurious homes in Australia, all located in Mosman Park. Tom Brooking of Brooking Design Architects will be showcasing three of his latest luxury home designs at differing stages of construction. Each project has been designed and crafted with specific responses to client briefs and demonstrate what can be achieved when best practices are applied to the highest level of design and documentation processes and the outcomes that combine with unique construction systems and solutions.
The Homes
The architecture of No 2 The Coombe was developed as a response to the complexities of the angular site with limestone cliff face outcrops. The three-level home effortlessly cantilevers over a series of circular-angled columns contrasting and juxta-positioning the rugged beauty of the existing landform.
26 Saunders St is expressed in minimalist architectural language and imbues the reverent qualities of simplicity and tranquillity. Set over three levels, the linear floor plates are orchestrated utilising a planar geometry of cantilevered concrete roof overhangs to frame space and light.
28 Saunders St is the epitome of un-paralleled modern-classic luxury design. This four-level home is set on a rambling 18m limestone encrusted sloping site in the heart of Mosman Park.
Tom Brooking is an architect & designer and the principal director of Fremantle based boutique architectural practice, Brooking Design Architects Pty Ltd. Under Tom’s leadership, Brooking Design has amassed numerous industry & institutional awards and built an enormous portfolio of work spanning many fields of design including entertainment, hospitality, heritage, education and luxury residential design. Tom has worked in hospitality design in USA and is most famously known locally as the creator of the development of the Metropolis Concert Club Perth. His work in that and many other entertainment venues during the late 90’s early 2000s, directly influenced the evolution of the live music scene across Australia. In recent years the practice has specialised in the design of multi-million dollar high end residences in exclusive riverside suburbs. In his own time, Tom is a creative musician, fanatical soccer player & coach and is a longtime advocate and supporter of African communities in Western Australia.
PPE Requirements:
- Long sleeves & pants
- Hi-Vis vest
- Hard hat
- Steel cap boots (no elastic-sided boots)
As the first site is almost complete, shoes will need to be removed at the door, but worn again for the other two sites.
Parking: Park at the carpark at the bottom of The Coombe near the water/reserve, and walk up to No. 2 The Coombe, Mosman Park.
